General information about St. Gilles Church
St. Gilles Church is a particularly beautiful, tuneful and originally medieval church(founded in 1236 by the monks of the Abbey of Waten) with very beautiful stained glass windows. The present Gothic brick west tower was built from 1498-1513 and has six floors. Impressive organ and Marian grotto with consecrated water.

Tip #1: If you are going to visit this church, be sure not to miss the Mountain Mill of Watten go to see it. Is also a nice pic-nic place there.
Tip 2: it's a pretty dark church. This makes the stained glass windows stand out particularly well, but it makes photography a bit trickier. HDR photography and possibly a tripod can be helpful 😉.
