General information about Chapel of Our Lady of the Forest
The Chapel of Our Lady of the Forest is a remarkable little chapel located in the middle of the forest of Tournehem-sur-la-Hem. It was restored in 1982 by Emile Rocourt. He was able to escape, reportedly "miraculously," from being sentenced to death by the Nazis in 1943.

Tip 1: Do you love chapels and panoramas? Then be sure not to miss the ruins of the chapel Saint Louis of Guémy go visit. It is just 8 kilometers from there.
Tip 2: Do you like old mills? There are 2 nearby: Moulin Lebriez and The Mill of Achille. Also picturesquely located.
Tip 3: The town of Saint-Omer is also worth a visit. As an example, we can mention here the imposing cathedral but of course there is much more. Around the city there are also marshes where there is a lot to do. Not to mention the former V1/V2 bases of La Coupole and the Bunker of Eperlecques.
