General information about the Het Hoge Licht Lighthouse
Het Hoge Licht lighthouse is an old lighthouse located in the center of Westkapelle (on the banks of the Westerschelde). Westkapelle is a borough of the city of Veere (Walcheren, Zeeland). It is a beautiful photographic subject. An old historic building and piece of immovable heritage, it was once the tower of St. Willibrord's Church. A museum about the life of the lighthouse keeper has been set up inside. You can reach the top via 179 steps.
