Tip 1: Are YOU ready for the bigger windmill work ? Then go, for example, to the large wind farms Mont de Ponche and Widehem in Pas-de-Calais.
Tip 2: City of Ypres is mainly known for 2 reasons: its medieval past (think of the Cloth Hall, Belfry, Yper Museum...) and memory tourism(In Flanders Fields Museum, the Menin Gate, the Last Post...). In scientific circles, Ypres is also known for its Project and People's Observatory AstroLAB IRIS (located in the Provincial Domain De Palingbeek, its enthusiastic group of volunteers receive as many as 10,000 visitors a year). This is one of six public observatories recognized by the Flemish Government. In technical and industrial circles, Ypres is world famous for its loom manufacturer Picanol. This company recently built a new headquarters in Ypres and can also be visited.
