General information about Belvédère Tower
Did you know that the Province of West Flanders, through Westtoer, has created a "Horizon 2025" project (see https://www.westtoe r.be/nl/horizon-2025 ) that aims to open up as many vantage points as possible to the general public? Well, about 150 meters from the top of the Kemmelberg, since 2018 you have again the Belvédère tower that you can "climb". It gives you a beautiful view from the Kemmelberg (156 m high). This is even completely free! They also placed binoculars on it such that you can see the surrounding landscape in detail. This landscape is complementary to what you get to see at Hostellerie Kemmelberg ****. While going up the stairs you can also enjoy the poems of mountain poet Geert De Kockere.

Another viewpoint relatively close to here is the church tower of Zonnebeke. Such a point is also organized in Messines. Another viewpoint organized within the "Horizon 2025" project is the Warande Tower in Middelkerke.
