General information about the beach of Cayeux-sur-Mer
The Bay of Somme is a very beautiful and protected natural area. It is one of the so-called "Grand Sites de France". Just about "entrance" to that bay is the maritime village of Cayeux-sur-Mer (on the starboard side as you enter the bay). Cayeux-sur-Mer beach has become very famous for its hundreds of beautifully colored wooden beach cabins. One estimate speaks of about 300 or so beach cabins all neatly l ined up. They all have a wooden terrace and a nameplate (some more original than others).
At the end of the photo series on these beach cabins, you will also find some shots of Cayeux's photogenic lighthouse.
