Cet automne, avec Soleil Noir, nous vous invitons à découvrir un dialogue inédit entre Léon Spilliaert et une cinquantaine d'artistes belges, de James Ensor à Michaël Borremans. Réunissant plus d’une centaine d’œuvres, l’exposition retrace 130 ans de création artistique à travers des thèmes universels tels que le paysage, la mélancolie, le nu ou la mer du Nord.

Dit najaar brengt Soleil Noir in de Villa Empain het werk van Léon Spilliaert in dialoog met dat van een vijftigtal Belgische kunstenaars, van James Ensor tot Michaël Borremans. Aan de hand van honderd werken verkent de tentoonstelling 130 jaar Belgische kunst rond universele thema’s als het landschap, melancholie, het naakt en de Noordzee.

This autumn, Soleil Noir brings the work of Léon Spilliaert into dialogue with that of fifty Belgian artists, from James Ensor to Michaël Borremans. Featuring more than one hundred works, the exhibition explores 130 years of Belgian art through themes such as landscape, melancholy, the nude, and the North Sea.
