General information about Westfield Euralille
Euralille is a brand-new (though somewhat from the mid-1990s anyway) neighborhood with a lot of architectural beauty. The master plan was designed by the influential Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas. Popular, with some 40,000 visitors a day, there is the very large Westfield Euralille shopping center. There is also Le Grand Palais: a large exhibition and convention center of no less than 45,000 m². They organize more than 300 events there every year. The large square includes a beautiful statue of former French President François Mitterand.
This is also where the TGV station is located: Gare de Lille Europe. The Lille–London train connection is particularly popular. There is also a TGV connection to Brussels. Not to be confused with the station for domestic traffic, which is within walking distance a little further away: Gare de Lille Flandres.

Tip 1: Tip for photographers: normally, you are not allowed to take photographs inside the Euralille buildings. Security guards will point this out to you. If necessary, you will need to ask for prior permission (obviously).
Tip 2: If you are in Lille, there is of course much more to do. How about a visit to the popular Zoo, the cathedral, the Grand Place with its Old Stock Exchange, and so on. We are not going to list everything Lille has to offer, but you can find all the information you need on the Lille Tourism website.
