General information about Villa Empain
Villa Empain is a very fine example of an art deco villa (architect Michel Polak, 1931) built for Baron Louis Empain. Sometimes also called "Villa Roosevelt." It is now home to the Boghossian Foundation, which organizes exhibitions and cultural activities. The villa, located near the Ter Kameren forest, has now also become a museum of modern art. Anyway, fortunately enough, you can still see the original art deco building elements everywhere. On the two floors, however, the rooms are no longer furnished as they were back then. They have now all become exhibition rooms. Only here and there you can still see some furniture scattered throughout the building. It is not like for example in Villa CavroisThere, all the rooms are still decorated.
