General information about lighthouse Vosseslag
Vosseslag Lighthouse is not a real lighthouse, but an art project by the artist Guillaume Bijl. It was realized within the framework of the Horizon 2025 project of the Province of West Flanders (through its autonomous provincial company Westtoer).
From the observation ring at the top of the art object you have a beautiful view of the North Sea and (especially) of the "greens" of the Royal Golf Club Ostend.

Tip 1: If you want to go see real lighthouses consult top.vlaanderen's Lighthouse List. In France(Calais, Grevelingen, ...) and the Netherlands(Breskens, ...) you can climb a few of them, the Belgian 3 lighthouses on the other hand, cannot (except for this one art project which of course is not a real lighthouse).
Tip 2: You're not far from the Concession of De Haan removed: this is a beautiful protected urban district from the Belle Epoque period. Stop by there. Together with the Dumont district in De Panne one of 2 protected historic districts on the Belgian Coast.
Tip 3: If you like viewpoints in the dunes, go a little further up to Wenduine: there you have the Spioenkop.
