General information about Mirwart Castle
Mirwart Castle is a castle hotel in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, in the territory of Saint-Hubert in the Province of Luxembourg. It dates back to the 11th century. It was purchased a few years ago by an architect from Antwerp. It is currently operated as a hotel/gourmet restaurant. The entire property has been completely and tastefully renovated. This unique location is also known, both domestically and abroad, as a prestigious wedding venue. They have very spacious and beautifully decorated rooms. Please note that they have rooms both in the castle itself and outside. Ask about this when you make your reservation. Except for larger events, it is usually very quiet there. Ideal for relaxing, far from the major tourist attractions with their hordes of tourists.
We have stayed there several times and have always been very satisfied with our stay. The opening hours of the gourmet restaurant are something to bear in mind: it is best to check in advance whether it will be open during your stay. Although they do not officially have a Michelin star, they are certainly worth it.

Tip 1: Not far from Mirwart Castle, you will find the Euro Space Center. This educational center is located on the E411 motorway. You may want to combine this with a visit to the ESA radio station in Redu.
Tip 2: If you like castles, you can also visit the Castle of Lavaux-Sainte-Anne and Jemeppe Castle. The former is open to the public on a regular basis, while the latter is more of a party and film location. However, you can walk around freely in the park. On the way to Dinant, you can also take a quick look at the Royal Castle of Ciergnon.
