General information about Castle of Jemeppe
Castle of Jemeppe is an impressive castle with accompanying moat located in Jemeppe, which lies within the borough of Hargimont of the municipality of Marche-en-Famenne. There is a large domain around the castle where you can walk around. Impressive square corner tower and 3 round spire towers. Currently the castle is used as an event location (think mainly for weddings, for example). There is also a hotel attached: a number of rooms are located in the nearby historic farmhouse. Just about everything has been renovated and restored.
In restaurant "Qwiezine," Fleming Klaas Trybou, ex-student of the Hotel School of Koksijde (2016), is the chef.
This castle is also regularly used as a film location. For example, it was used for certain filming of "De Verraders" (series on VTM).
The castle also serves as a backdrop in the Dutch Sinterklaas film "The Great Sinterklaas Movie and the Lost Wishlists!" (fall 2025).
