General information about The Paravang
The Paravang is a 1908 windbreak in Belle Epoque style . It is in urgent need of restoration but still oh-so-beautiful! Note that one side of the windbreak (this one located on the miniature golf side) is in an even slightly better condition than the other. Very colorful roof. The roof tiles (tiles) are somewhat reminiscent of the roofs of Chinese palaces that were done in glazed ceramics.
Just before this summer, it was decided that the Paravang will actually be restored: the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, in session on May 23, 2025, approved the design plans by architects B-Juxta and the corresponding estimate. Works would start in 2025 and run until ... 2032. More info this post on Facebook.

Tip 2: At the end of the dike (western side) you will also find a beautiful, old lighthouse.
