General information about Breskens
Breskens, pronounced "Bres-jes," is best known for its marina. There, a few hundred sailing ships await sea adventure. A classic for sailors is crossing the Westerschelde to sail as far as the charming village of Veere. Besides the marina, there is also a ferry port (with a pedestrian and bicycle connection to Flushing), a small fishing port, a maritime museum and a lighthouse. In the marina you can also see the Red Penguins by William Sweetlove see: a large work of art.
