General information about "The Hauntings"
"The Hauntings" is a 6.5m high artwork temporarily on display at the Menin Gate of Ypres. It will stand there from Oct. 7 to Dec. 7, 2025. It represents a front soldier looking at the thousands of names of his fallen comrades-in-arms. The idea came from Englishwoman Jo Oliver. It is a welding of discarded pieces of metal. For almost 2 years, a duo worked on the artwork. Before that, the artwork was also on display in Dublin, Scotland and Antrobus House in Amesbury, England.
