General information about Marguerite-Yourcenar Park

Park Marguerite-Yourcenar is a beautiful park covering around 40 hectares, located just across the Zwarteberg (Westouter, Heuvelland). Its official name is“Parc départemental du Mont Noir.”

At its most beautiful in spring (mid-April) when the wild garlic and wild forest hyacinth are in bloom. In the central building, an imposing villa, writers can come and do their thing. The villa is named after the writer Marguerite Yourcenar.
