The Valley of the "Old Acker" (Wimille, France)
The Valley of the "Old Acker" is known by its French name namely "La Vallée du Denâcre". It is a small park and hiking area not too far from the well-known seaside resort of Wimereux. It is located next to the A16 freeway. In fact, the park would have been very close to disappearing when the original A16 route was built. Fortunately, an association was able to have the A16 route modified.
For photographers, especially the "Estaminet of the second mill" that will attract attention and this because of its picturesque setting with many flowers and a real waterfall, perhaps unique for Flanders.
To discover this gem, especially for people who love the real peace and quiet.
Visitor tips for the Valley of the "Old Acker"
Tip 1: A few cars can park near the "Estaminet of the second mill." It is indicated that this would be a private parking, but everyone puts their car there. You can reach this parking along the Route de Rupembert, 62126 Wimille, France.
Tip 2: Wimille is also known for its large Napoleon monument You should definitely visit and, most importantly, climb it.
