General information about Sint Anna ter Muiden
Every Flemish person knows Sluis, of course. But are you also familiar with the particularly picturesque market square of the Dutch village of Sint Anna ter Muiden? It is known as one of the smallest towns in the Netherlands with historical city rights (which it obtained as early as 1242). Until 1880, it was an independent municipality, but after that it was merged with the municipality of Sluis.
If you are traveling to Sluis, consider stopping by this village, located a few hundred meters from the road between Bruges and Sluis. Most people tend to drive right by it, which is unfortunate. It is a true oasis of tranquility next to the busy Bruges-Sluis road. Small but delightful.

Tip 1: Did you know that in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen there is a very nice hotel that was decorated in a real church. Yes, take a look at the Church hotel. And operated by a very hospitable female entrepreneurial duo.
