General information about The boat hotel "Normandie"

Anyone who has ever visited the west coast of Belgium will be familiar with this landmark: a large, majestic ship. It is the boat hotel "Normandie. "It dates from 1936-1937. It is located right next to the Royal Road, so it is virtually impossible to miss. This building was once a hotel, but is now a restaurant/brasserie. From the "deck," you have a beautiful view of the surrounding dunes: the Schipgatduinen and the "Doornpanne." A beautiful place to relax.

Did you know... even a small copy was made of the Normandy? This mobile model is used on special occasions, such as the Sinterklaas celebration. That's when Sinterklaas arrives on this "Normandie." Original, isn't it?
