City Hall of Calais (Calais, France)

Calais City Hall is a gem. By the way, did you know that in 2025 this town hall will celebrate its 100th anniversary? If you are in the area, be sure to go inside and look at the rooms on the second floor: the council chamber, the wedding room, the taproom... . On the way there, you get to see a very large and beautiful stained-glass window showing a piece of the city's history. Also note the very beautiful vaults. All free to visit.

If there are not too many people (e.g. due to pre-booked groups), you can even climb the belfry ( protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site) !

In front of the imposing building, you will also find the "Statue of the Citizens of Calais," a sculpture by Rodin.
