General information about The Gardens of Valloires
These 8 hectares of beautifully landscaped Valloires botanical gardens belong to Valloires Abbey. This is a Cistercian abbey from the 12th century. It was rebuilt in 18th century. It can be visited separately. There is a joint ticket available that allows YOU to visit both the abbey with a guide (duration about one hour) and the gardens (on an individual basis). Tables and chairs are set up at various places in the park. At the counter You can purchase a pic-nic package which You can then consume there.
There are several garden rooms with different themes. There is also a rosary. These gardens were labeled "Jardin Remarquable" which means they are exceptionally beautiful gardens. Let the pictures below convince YOU about the beauty of this park. More than 55,000 visitors visit these gardens every year.

Tip #1: Highly recommended! Allow at least two hours to visit this gem. If you also want to visit the abbey itself (separate entrance 200 meters away), you will need at least another hour. There is a cafeteria with a restaurant (you can eat until 15h) and you can buy plants there.
Tip 2: a dog, even on a leash, is not allowed there. Prepare accordingly.
