General information about WestFront - Ganzenpoot lock complex

During World War I, this Goosefoot lock complex played a particularly important role. It is there one and the other was opened, flooding a large part of the Ijzervlakte and halting the German advance. At the WestFront visitor center, you can learn more about it all. Atop WestFront is also a particularly large monument set up: King Albert I on his horse. We took some nice 360° shots of it.
